DORM ROOM VIBES.

This was one of the first pictures ever taken of my freshman dorm room. I was so excited to finally see everything that I had purchased come to together but to be honest, I was so scared of how everything would turn out but it looked even better than I had envisioned it would. I spent a majority of my summer break hunting for dorm room essentials online and in store [my friends can attest to this] if I saw something I ordered it even if it was deemed unnecessary. Looking back I so desperately wished someone would have given me help on where to find things at and where the best deals were located at. So my first blog post is going to be dedicated to sharing where I found a majority of my things at, so that your dorm room can be "instagram and twitter worthy" the links can be found below. Under the links I am also putting a list of everything that I felt like was a must have for my freshman year.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing- XO
Pillows: Tjmaxx (these were found in store at my local Tjmaxx so there is no link but Tjmaxx never disappoints so I am hopeful that you will find the colors and pillows that you want.)
Throw Blanket: This throw blanket is honestly the best and they have so many colors to choose from, what I liked about it was that it was not too heavy to the point where it felt like it was a comforter it was just right and so perfect for those in between class naps.
Wall Decor: Hobby Lobby (I do not have links for the wall decor since I purchased them in store but I do have a 40% off coupon )
Cart: (this is the link to the one that I have but they have so many fun colors to pick from.)
Stool: found at one of the local Dollar General stores but I did attach a similar one I found.
Lamp: Walmart and it was less than $20!
Bedskirt: It was handmade my wonderful Aunt Hazel. I got the fabric from Hobby Lobby and found the length and width that I would need offline.
Grey Rug: Tjmaxx and it is so soft.
Initials: (I bought mine unpainted and had my grandad to paint it white for me.)
Dorm Room Essentials Checklist
Mattress pad - (the one I had was from LUCID, it was the 3 inch Bamboo Charcoal Memory Foam one and it felt like I went to sleep on a cloud every night! I highly recommend it. It was a little pricey but shoutout to my grandma!)
Pillows (attached are the ones that I have and they are currently on sale.)
Acrylic Makeup Organizer
Coat Hanger (for the inside of your closet)
Rain Jacket
Laundry Basket
Ottoman
Sterilite 3 Drawer cart ( I had two! a wide one and a tall one, so perfect for extra storage and they both can easily fit under your bed.)
Extension cords
Floor Mirror
Lamp
Miniature fan
Rain boots
Umbrella ( always keep one in your book bag, you never know when it is going to rain and you do not want to be caught walking between classes without one.)
Water bottle
Dry erase board
Planner
Printer
Command Strips (a major must have for wall decorations)
Iron
Twin XL sheets
Headphones
Curtains ( My roomie Linda bought these blackout curtains and they were amazing especially on the weekends, I also have some in my room at home that my aunt got me they are 10/10 #amusthave.)

Awesome and informative. I hope first time dormers join in. Definitely will save time and money.
